Operating Information - Important Precautions, Break-In of a New Vehicle

~1min read

The Honda vehicle will provide the owner with optimum performance and demonstrate high driving qualities on roads with good, smooth surfaces. This is facilitated by the low ground clearance and low-profile tires.

Be careful when driving on uneven roads and roads without a paved surface. Driving on them may damage the suspension and/or the underbody of the vehicle. Exercise caution when crossing speed bumps ("sleeping policeman") located directly on the road surface; crossing them at high speed can also cause serious damage to the suspension and/or underbody.

To avoid damaging the front or rear bumper, be careful when driving off curbs and ramps/trailer ramps. Remember that the low suspension makes it dangerous for this vehicle to drive up even ordinary-height curbs.

Break-In of a New Vehicle
To ensure the reliability and durability of the vehicle in operation, observe the following rules during the first 600 km (375 miles) of driving:

a) Do not start off at full throttle; avoid sudden acceleration;
b) Do not brake too hard. Normal bedding-in of new brake pads takes place over a distance of 300 km (185 miles), during which you should, if possible, brake smoothly and at moderate intensity.
5 After repair or replacement of the engine, as well as after replacement of the brake pads, observe the same restrictions and recommendations.
