Rear Seatback Shelf

Remove or disconnect:

PROCEDURE.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the two center high mounted stop light mounting screws.

3. Disconnect the stop light electrical connector and remove it from the vehicle.

4. Remove the upper seat belt mounting bolts. Remove the trim and

weatherstrip from the shelf panel.

5. Upper trim panel.

6. Remove the 8 screws and remove both rear speakers.

7. Disconnect the speaker electrical connectors.

8. Fold down the rear seatback.

9. Remove the nuts and bolts of the rear seatback locking devices.

10. Release the rear shelf panel from the holders.

Installation

PROCEDURE.

1. Secure the rear shelf panel in the holders.

2. Rear seatback locking device bolts and nuts. Partially tighten the bolt and nut. Engage the locking device latch with the bolt. Tighten the nuts and bolts of the locking device to 20 N·m.

3. Rear speakers. Connect the electrical connectors.

4. Install the 8 speaker mounting screws.

5. Upper trim panel.

6. Trim and weatherstrip of the shelf panel.

7. Install the upper seat belt mounting bolts. Tighten the upper seat belt mounting bolts to 35 N·m.

8. Center high mounted stop light. Connect the electrical connector.

9. Install the two center high mounted stop light mounting screws.

10. Negative battery cable.
