Tailgate - Lock

GENERAL INFORMATION

Rear Door Lock (hatchback)

1. LOCK ASSEMBLY

2. SCREW (2 PCS.)

3. LOCK ROD

4. LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

5. DAMPER CLIP

Remove or disconnect:

PROCEDURE.

1. Remove the plastic clips and the rear door trim panel.

2. Remove the two lock mounting bolts.

3. Remove the two lock cylinder mounting nuts.

4. Remove the damper clips from the lock rod.

5. Disconnect the rod from the lock and remove the lock cylinder assembly.

6. Remove the lock from the rear door.

Installation

PROCEDURE.

1. Install the lock in the rear door.

2. Connect the rod to the lock and install the lock cylinder.

3. Install the damper clip on the lock rod.

4. Rotate the lock cylinder and install the 2 mounting nuts. Tighten the mounting nuts.

lock cylinder to the specified torque of 15 N·m.

5. Install the two lock mounting bolts.

6. Install the rear door trim panel, securing it with the plastic clips.

Striker

GENERAL INFORMATION

Rear Door Lock Striker (hatchback)

1. STRIKER

2. SCREWS (2 PCS.)

The striker height is adjustable to ensure proper operation of the

rear door lock.

Remove or disconnect:

PROCEDURE.

1. Remove the two striker mounting screws.

2. Remove the striker from the vehicle.

Installation

PROCEDURE.

1. Install the striker on the vehicle. Install the 2 mounting screws.

2. Check the operation of the rear door lock and the position of the rear door relative to the

body opening. Adjust if necessary.

Lock Cylinder

GENERAL INFORMATION

Lock Cylinder Assembly

1. NUT (2 PCS.)

2. LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

3. ROD

4. RING WITH DRIVE LEVER

5. BRACKET

6. RETURN SPRING

7. LOCK CYLINDER

8. LOCK HOUSING

Remove or disconnect:

PROCEDURE.

1. Remove the plastic clips and the rear door trim panel.

2. Remove the two lock cylinder mounting nuts.

3. Disconnect the rod from the lock cylinder and remove the lock cylinder assembly.

Installation

PROCEDURE.

1. Install the lock cylinder in the rear door. Connect the lock rod.

2. Install the two lock cylinder mounting nuts.

3. Install the rear door trim panel, securing it with the plastic clips.
