GENERAL INFORMATION.

3. After removing the seal, clean the groove of adhesive residue using solvent. Install or attach.

PROCEDURE.

1. Apply protective tape along the perimeter of the sunroof opening..

2. Apply a layer of 3M Windo-Weld Primer (black) to the horizontal and

vertical surfaces of the groove. Allow the primer to dry for 10–15 minutes..

3. Clean the seal surface with a suitable solvent..

4. Coat the contact surfaces with a layer of 3M Windo-Weld Primer (black) and allow to dry for 10–15 minutes..

5. Using the transverse seam of the seal as a reference, mark the middle of the opposite side with adhesive tape.

The seal must be installed so that the transverse seam is in the middle of the rear side of the opening. Apply a layer of 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive to the groove surfaces for installing the seal along the inner perimeter of the sunroof opening..

6. Using a brush, apply adhesive to the contact surfaces of the seal..

7. When the adhesive becomes tacky, align the seal with the seam and the adhesive tape mark, and insert the seal into the groove. The transverse seam must

be in the middle of the rear side of the opening above the sunroof latch handle..

8. Using a syringe, apply a layer of adhesive between the outer side of the seal and the edge of the roof opening..

9. Allow the adhesive to dry for 8 hours before installing the sunroof and checking the

seal for leaks. Before installing the glass sunroof, apply silicone grease to the

seal..

10. Install the glass panel onto the sunroof frame.
