Daewoo Nexia: Checking the Heater Conductive Strips
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. VOLTMETER
To locate damaged conductive strips, start the engine and turn on the rear window heater. Using a voltmeter,
measure the voltage on all strips in turn, connecting one probe to ground and the other
to the strips near the left and right bus bars. If the voltage measured at both
ends of each strip is approximately equal to battery voltage, check the reliability of the ground wire contact with the vehicle body.
The voltage on the strip should decrease as the probe moves away from the bus bar.
The heater supply of the rear window. Each strip must be checked in at least two places to exclude the possibility of missing a damaged
location. It is recommended to check the strips in two places
located at equal distances from the center line of the rear window. If abnormal voltmeter readings are found on one of the strips, it is necessary to
move the probe along this strip until the voltage becomes equal to
zero. The break in the strip is located at this point.
