GENERAL INFORMATION

The mass air flow sensor is installed at the rear of the throttle body. Removal and Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Before removal, disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Access to the sensor will be greatly improved by removing the air cleaner (refer to subsection 6.3.1.2).

3. Disconnect the connector from the mass air flow sensor.

4. Remove the three mounting screws, then remove the sensor from the throttle body and remove its O-ring.

5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

6. When installing, use a new O-ring and securely tighten the mounting screws.
