Replacement

PROCEDURE

1. The backpressure valve is installed on the left side of the intake manifold. If necessary, remove the air cleaner cover to improve access to the valve.

2. Disconnect both vacuum hoses from the top of the valve.

3. Remove the two mounting bolts and remove the valve from the intake manifold, disconnecting it from the exhaust pipe.

4. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
