The auxiliary air supply valve is located at the front of the throttle body.

Before removing it, disconnect the negative battery cable.

Removal and installation

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the connector from the solenoid valve.

2. Remove the two mounting screws, then remove the valve from the throttle body and remove the gasket.

3. If necessary, after removing the valve, remove the mounting screws and separate the two halves of the valve. Check that the valve plunger moves freely and returns quickly to its original position under spring force. If not, the valve must be replaced.

4. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Use a new gasket during installation.
