Removal
PROCEDURE

1. The throttle position sensor (indicated by the arrow) is installed on the right side of the throttle body. Before removing it, disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.
3. Using white paint or a marker, make alignment marks on the throttle body and the throttle position sensor.
4. Remove the two mounting screws and remove the throttle position sensor.
5. During installation, position the throttle position sensor on the throttle body so that its lever is correctly engaged with the throttle shaft lever.
6. Install the mounting plate, then align the marks made before removal and loosely tighten the mounting screws. Adjust the throttle position sensor as follows.
7. Using a tester set to measure resistance, check that the throttle position sensor resistance is as specified in the Specifications section (refer to subsection 6.3.2.1). If necessary, loosen the mounting screws and rotate the throttle position sensor so that its resistance is as specified in the Specifications section.
8. When the throttle position sensor is correctly installed, securely tighten the mounting screws and connect the connector.
