GENERAL INFORMATION

Only unleaded gasoline must be used as fuel for engines equipped with a catalytic converter. Engines without a catalytic converter can use either leaded or unleaded gasoline; no additional adjustment of ignition timing is required. The octane numbers specified in subsection 6.1.1 are determined by the research method.
