Exhaust Manifold

Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the exhaust gas sensor connector from the wiring harness.

2. Remove the bolts and the exhaust manifold heat shield.

3. Remove the fitting nut and the EGR tube.

4. Apply the parking brake and raise the front of the vehicle.

5. Remove the nuts and bolt from the front exhaust pipe, then remove the gasket.

6. Remove the nuts and bolts securing the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head in the reverse order of installation.

7. Remove the manifold and gasket.

Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Install in the reverse order.

2. Before assembly, replace all gaskets, thoroughly cleaning the mating surfaces, and replace or repair any damaged studs.

3. Tighten the bolts and nuts in the specified sequence using a torque wrench.
