Intake Manifold

Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the carburetor.

2. Drain part of the coolant.

3. Disconnect all hoses from the manifold, marking them beforehand.

4. On vehicles with a catalytic converter, disconnect the EGR tube from the manifold.

5. Disconnect the connector from the coolant temperature sensor, remove the ground strap.

6. Remove the manifold support bracket.

7. Make sure all hoses and wires are disconnected.

8. Unscrew the bolts and nuts and remove the manifold.

9. Remove the gasket.

Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Install in the reverse order.

2. Before installation, replace the gasket, thoroughly cleaning the mating surfaces.

3. Make sure hoses and wires are connected correctly.
