Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Remove the rear seat back (see subsection 13.23).

3. Remove the inspection cover.

4. Disconnect the connector from the sensor and immediately secure it to the body with tape.

5. Mark the hoses and disconnect them. Immediately secure them to the body with tape.

6. Locate the sensor position marks. If there are no marks, make them.

7. Unscrew the union nut by lightly tapping a screwdriver placed against the nut teeth.

8. Carefully lift the sensor, disconnect the filter from the tank, and remove the sensor assembly with the filter.

9. Remove the gasket.

10. Wash the filter and inspect it carefully. Replace the filter if it is clogged or damaged.

Installation

PROCEDURE

Install in the reverse order. Replace the tank sealing ring, securely attach the filter to the sensor, and align the marks on the sensor and the tank.
