GENERAL INFORMATION

The fuel pressure regulator is installed on the right side of the throttle body.

Removal and Installation WARNING: Refer to the precautions in sub-section 6.3.1 before starting work.

PROCEDURE

1. Before removal, disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Access to the fuel pressure regulator will be greatly improved if the air cleaner is removed (see sub-section 6.3.1.2).

3. Relieve the fuel system pressure (see sub-section 6.3.1.7).

4. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the fuel hose from the fuel pressure regulator.

5. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the regulator.

6. Remove the two mounting screws, then remove the regulator from the throttle body and remove both O-rings.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

8. When installing, use new O-rings.
