GENERAL INFORMATION

Warning: Refer to the precautions in sub-section 6.3.2 before starting work.

Removal and installation

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator (indicated by the arrow), which is installed on the left side of the fuel rail.

3. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to subsection 6.3.2.

6. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the fuel hose from the bottom of the fuel pressure regulator.

4. Remove the two mounting bolts and remove the regulator from the fuel rail. Remove the O-ring installed on the regulator and discard it. A new O-ring must be used during installation.

5. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Use a new O-ring during installation. After installation is complete, start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
