GENERAL INFORMATION

The fast idle solenoid valve (idle speed control) is installed on the right side of the throttle body. Removal and Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Before removal, disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. If necessary, remove the air cleaner (refer to subsection 6.3.1.2) to improve access to the valve.

3. Follow the wiring of the solenoid valve to the connector and disconnect it.

4. Unscrew the solenoid valve from the throttle body, then remove the plunger, spring and sealing washer.

5. If the solenoid valve is to be replaced, remove its wires from the connector.

6. If you do not want to disassemble the connector, the solenoid valve can be removed together with the fuel injector and the auxiliary air valve.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

8. Check that the plunger and spring are correctly installed.
