GENERAL INFORMATION

The fast idle warm-up valve is installed on the left side of the throttle body.

Before removing it, disconnect the negative battery cable.

Removal and installation

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the air cleaner by following the instructions in subsection 6.3.2.2.

2. Remove the nut and washer, then remove the fast idle cam mounting plate, spring, washer, and lever, noting how they were installed.

3. Remove the mounting screw and the valve mounting plate. Remove the valve and its O-ring.

4. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Use a new O-ring during installation and check that all linkage components are correctly installed.
